KEVIN PENWELL, D.O.
Dr. Kevin Penwell is the President and Founder of Immediate Care of Oklahoma L.L.C. and serves as the COM/CFO (Chief Operational Manager and Chief Financial Officer) of the organization.
Dr. Penwell completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Physics at Bob Jones University in South Carolina. He also received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Penwell has a long standing relationship with Oklahoma State University. He, while completing his Fellowship in Sports Medicine, worked as a physician in the Primary Physician Clinic and served the Cowboys as a Staff Team Physician. Dr. Penwell continues this relationship today by serving as an Adjunct Clinical Professor for the Department of Family Medicine at OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, Tulsa.
Dr. Kevin Penwell is Board Certified with additional certification as Medical Review Officer for Drug Testing. He served as Medical Director for the Occupational Medicine facility of Norman Regional Hospital for 11 years.
RICHARD BROCK, D.O.
Dr. Richard Brock began his commitment to improving the health of others over 17 years ago at Cameron University where he received his Bachelors of Science degree. Upon completing his BS studies, he went on to receive his Doctorate at OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Brock completed his Internship at St. Michael Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK and then completed his Residency at St. Michael Hospital with a specialty in Family Medicine. He is Board Certified.
Dr. Brock serves as the primary physician and the Medical Director at the ICO facility located at 800 24th Ave. N.W.
ADREANNE HOGGARD, M.D.
Dr. Adreanne Hoggard received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Philosophy from the University of Oklahoma. She then went to the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine where she completed her M.D.
Dr. Hoggard completed her Residency at the University of South Florida and began her career in Family Medicine. She also has worked at the Veterans Administration for several years. Dr. Hoggard is Board Certified in Family Medicine and enjoys all ages that come through the doors at Immediate Care.
She is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
JEFFREY L’HOMMEDIEU, M.D.
Dr. Jeffrey L’Hommedieu is a licensed medical doctor and currently enjoys an active, full-time position at Immediate Care of Oklahoma. Prior to joining Immediate Care, Dr. L’Hommedieu worked in Emergency Medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital ER in Enid, OK.
Dr. L’Hommedieu received his Undergraduate in Biochemistry from Oklahoma Christian. He received his Doctorate in Medicine at the OU College of Medicine, completing his residency at OU Health Science with a specialty in Family Practice. In addition to being the primary practicing physician at the ICO facility located at 3400 Tecumseh Road in Norman, he also serves as that clinic’s Medical Director.
Dr. L’Hommedieu is Board Certified in Family Practice with additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Pediatric Life Support.
RALPH NELSON, D.O.
Dr. Ralph Nelson received his undergraduate at the University of Oklahoma in Microbiology. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, completing his doctorate at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Dr. Nelson moved from Florida to Oklahoma City, completing his Internship at St. Michael Hospital and St. Anthony Hospital with a specialty in Emergency Medicine. Residency in Family Practice was completed at St. Anthony Hospital Oklahoma City. Dr. Nelson has his Board Certification in Family Practice. He also actively works in the Emergency Departments in Norman and Lawton.
Dr. Nelson serves as Lab Director for Immediate Care.
KENNETH SMITH, M.D.
Dr. Kenneth Smith received his Bachelor of Science from Baylor University and his MD from Baylor College of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Smith taught for many years at OU’s College of Medicine in the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine and previously was the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. He has also been published in the Journal of Family Practice, Academic Medicine, and Medical Decision Making.
ROBERT TODD, JR., M.D.
Dr. Robert Todd received his Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. Before that he received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Dr. Todd previously had a family practice in Edmond, OK before joining the Immediate Care Medical Team. He’s a member of the American Academy of Family Practitioners and has four children.
You’ll find Dr. Todd at our Edmond clinic or West Moore clinic as he fills the role of Medical Director in both locations.
RYAN WILSON, D.O.
Dr. Wilson is Board Certified in Family Medicine and attended Oklahoma State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. He enjoys emergency/urgent care medicine because of the variety of patients he sees on a daily basis. You’ll find Dr. Wilson in one of our Norman locations.
CASSANDRA GENTRY, PA-C
Cassandra Gentry received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Health Sciences as Physician Associate Degree from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She enjoys working in the urgent care/family practice environment for the past 10 years because she gets to work with a variety of patients and handle many different cases. Cassandra is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Physician Assistants.
JORGE GORTON, PA-C
Jorge Gorton received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma then went on to obtain his Master of Health Sciences from OUs College of Medicine. He is also a certified Athletic Trainer and has many years of Emergency Department experience. He is a member of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants and also has his private pilot license.
BRIAN HERB, PA-C
Brian Herb received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. He enjoys general practice medicine because he believes in being a patient advocate. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Society of Air Force Physician Assistants.
JEREMY TANNER, ARNP
Jeremy Tanner received his Bachelor of Science with emphasis in Sports Medicine from Oklahoma Baptist University. He later went on to the University of Oklahoma and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Jeremy went to Frontier Nursing University where he completed his Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner. He is a member of American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has extensive experience in emergency and in family medicine.
JEFFREY MELTON, ARNP
Jeffrey Melton received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma City University. He then completed his Masters of Science in Nursing from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He has extensive experience in cardiac and neurosurgical care. Most recently Jeffrey has focused on urgent care and family medicine. He enjoys the fast-pace environment and working with all ages in the urgent care setting. He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practioners.
AMANDA BODINE, PA-C
Amanda Bodine received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Oklahoma Christian University. She then completed her Master of Health Science as Physician Associate from the University of Oklahoma. Her experience ranges in family urgent care and emergency medicine.
BENJAMIN HICKS, M.D.
Dr. Hicks attended the University of Oklahoma, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, minoring in Spanish language and graduating magna cum laude in 2003. During his undergraduate years, Dr. Hicks enjoyed working as a teaching assistant in the Chemistry department and volunteering with the Oklahoma Adopt-a-School program. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. He studied during his senior year at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and graduated medical school in 2007. Dr. Hicks trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Mississippi and in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, completing his residency training in 2015. When he is not working, he enjoys playing golf and basketball, as well as OU Football and Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball.
