Meet Laney Draper in Oklahoma City, OK

Laney Draper is one of our dedicated Medical Assistants at the 240 Clinic.

Laney was born and raised in Oklahoma City and earned her degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK. She has recently been accepted to medical school and will be starting her next chapter at OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tahlequah this July.

Laney’s interest in the medical field began at a young age, following reconstructive surgery on both of her feet when she was 12 years old. Inspired by the care she received from her surgeon, she later shadowed several doctors and discovered her passion for medicine.

Outside of work, Laney leads a vibrant and active life. A former college volleyball player, she now coaches a team of I4-year-olds. She enjoys running, reading, and spending time with friends -especially her close friend Megan Lemieux.

If Laney could have lunch with anyone, it would be the late actor, Paul Walker. As a big fan of the Fast & Furious franchise, she’d love the chance to ask behind-the-scenes questions about the films.

A few fun facts about Laney: she has one kidney, ran a half marathon, and is a self-proclaimed expert at tying her shoes – one single knot keeps them secure for years!

Laney’s favorite part of working at ICO has been the supportive and kind team she works alongside, including the lab techs, providers, and fellow MAs. She truly values the encouragement she’s received from her coworkers.

Laney is also preparing for a personal milestone – she’s getting married in December!
