Meet Mandy in Oklahoma City, OK

This week’s Employee Spotlight is Mandy!

Mandy is one of our clinic managers and has been with Immediate Care for four and a half years.

Mandy was born in Shattuck, Oklahoma, and spent much of her childhood moving around, with many of her formative years in May, Oklahoma.

Her journey into healthcare began early, starting as a CNA and eventually volunteering with a local ambulance service that was at risk of shutting down due to a lack of volunteers. Mandy stepped up, completed the necessary schooling, and played a role in keeping those critical services available to her community.

At her core, Mandy is a caregiver. After years spent caring for others, she is now in a season of rediscovering herself, while still bringing that same compassion and dedication into her work every day. She was nominated for this spotlight because of her kindness and her commitment to going above and beyond what’s expected of a manager.

Mandy’s favorite part of working at ICO is the culture. She shares that here, “you’re a person, not a number.” Over the past couple of years, she has faced personal challenges, and she’s deeply grateful for the support she’s received from her ICO family, who made sure she was cared for every step of the way.

Outside of work, Mandy enjoys staying busy with hands-on projects. Whether it’s working on cars, refinishing furniture, or remodeling, she loves creating and fixing things. Most importantly, she treasures time spent with her kids and grandkids.

A meaningful part of Mandy’s story is the woman who raised her-her grandmother, who was 60 years old when Mandy was born and lived to be 100. Mandy credits her grandmother for shaping the heart she has for others today, a legacy of compassion that continues to impact everyone around her.
