Leah

Leah is one of our dedicated medical assistants at our Norman Healthplex Clinic.
Leah was born in Cairo, Egypt, and moved to the U.S. in 2009—first to Houston and later to Edmond, where she grew up after her dad’s job brought the family to Oklahoma.
She’s always had a heart for helping others, especially those going through difficult times, which inspired her passion for medicine. Leah graduated from OU in May with a degree in biology and is taking a gap year before applying to PA school in 2026. Through shadowing experiences, she’s developed a growing interest in pediatrics and oncology.
Leah’s favorite part of working at Immediate Care is the people—her supportive coworkers and the providers who are always willing to teach and explain. She says ICO has helped her grow her skills more than she expected, from administering medications to performing X-rays and other hands-on tasks.
Outside of work, Leah enjoys spending time with her younger twin sisters and nephew. Though there’s a nine-year age gap, her sisters are her best friends. She also does community service and gets together with her sorority. Leah also volunteers at OU Children’s Hospital. She loves relaxing and is trying to get more into reading.
Leah is a music lover, so if she could have lunch with anyone, it would be R&B singer Brent Faiyaz.
Leah was nominated for Joyfulness. It’s been amazing to see how much more joyful and positive Leah has become lately. Her attitude is lighter, more upbeat, and contagious—it’s refreshing to see her energy shift for the better! Thank you, Leah, for all that you do!
