Meet Kiran in Oklahoma City, OK

Kiran is one of our dedicated medical assistants at our 240 clinic.

Kiran was born and raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from the University of Oklahoma last May with a degree in chemical biosciences.

He’s currently in a gap year, preparing to apply to OU Medical School with hopes of pursuing a career in pediatrics with a subspecialty in cardiology or oncology.

His interest in medicine started early—his dad is a doctor, and his sister recently became a pediatrician. Seeing the positive impact they had on their communities inspired him to follow in their footsteps.

Kiran joined Immediate Care to gain hands-on experience in the medical field, and his time here has only confirmed his calling to medicine.

Kiran’s favorite part about working at Immediate Care is the people. As a student, he especially appreciates how the providers take time to teach and invest in his learning.

If Kiran could have lunch with anyone, it would be Atul Gawande, a surgeon and author of Being Mortal. He admires how Gawande balances medicine and the arts and hopes to bring that same balance into his own life.

Outside of work, Kiran enjoys cooking (especially grilling chicken skewers or steak); he loves reading, playing guitar, and listening to music. A fun fact about him: he’s recently gotten into film photography and is working on improving his skills behind the camera.
