Meet Haven in Oklahoma City, OK

Haven was born in McAlester and raised all around Oklahoma, and she has been part of the ICO family for one year. She is now the new clinic manager at our Choctaw Clinic!

When Haven was younger, she had a little brother who had cerebral palsy, so she grew up around his nurses and learned how to help care for him. That experience sparked her desire to continue helping others. She started working in urgent care so she could expand her medical knowledge and care for a wide variety of patients.

Haven’s favorite part about working at Immediate Care is getting to know patients through repeat visits. She also loves the team. She says she has never had a bad coworker!

Outside of work, she loves being outdoors—whether that’s at the park or the zoo with her son.

She also enjoys spending time at Lake Eufaula and basically lives there during the summer when she’s not working. You’ll find her doing all the fun lake activities like boat rides, cliff jumping, surfing, and tubing.

If Haven could have lunch with anyone, it would be Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy. She’s watched the show many times, enjoys following Ellen on social media, and would love to get lunch with her. A fun fact about Haven is that she can crochet, and recently she’s gotten into taking care of plants.

Haven is always willing to step up and do whatever is asked of her. She has a positive attitude that makes everyone around her smile. It has been exciting to watch her grow from medical assistant to medical lead and now into her new role as clinic manager.
